Hosted in Mauritius, this landmark event introduces the healing heritage of Siddha medicine to regions with emerging awareness, while advancing international scholarship, clinical research and evidence-based integration into global healthcare.

Chairman's welcome
Siddha medicine came to Mauritius in the hands of ordinary people — in seed packets, in remedies memorised at home, in palm-leaf notes carried across the ocean. It has been practised quietly here for generations.
This conference is an invitation to bring that practice into the open: to compare methods, to hold our diagnoses to scrutiny, and to train the next generation properly. You will find room here for the old texts and for hard questions about evidence, safety and regulation.

What is Siddha medicine
One of the oldest traditional medical systems in human history

Originating millennia ago in South India, Siddha views the human body as a replica of the universe, governed by the five elements (panchabootham) and three humours — vatham, pitham and kapham. Rather than targeting symptoms alone, it works towards rejuvenation, preventive longevity (kayakalpa) and the root cause of ailments through herbs, minerals and lifestyle correction.

Call for papers
Submit your abstract
The Scientific Committee invites original research papers, systematic reviews, case studies and practice-based essays aligned with the conference tracks. Abstracts of 250–350 words may be written in English or Tamil, and every submission receives a reply by email.
Author notice
Researchers, clinicians, traditional practitioners, academicians, scientists, public health experts, policymakers and postgraduate students are welcome to submit abstracts. All accepted papers will be published in the official conference proceedings with ISBN/DOI assignment, and selected high-quality papers will be forwarded for peer-reviewed journal publication.
